Here, you will make an impact by:Providing financial counsel for investment opportunities, budget, and special projectsPlay a key role in the OP Planning Process, prepares department OP Plans, reviews with leader prior to roll-up with finance managerManage rebillings and JEs monthly process approximately $10M annuallyPrepare monthly budget reports. Responsible for ensuring department spending is on track with MRE and QOR commitments.Balance / Accrual Accounts work directly with Costa Rica team to balance the accrual accounts monthly. These accounts hold pre-paid event expenses. Following the events charges are re-billed to the businesses. This is a CRITICAL function of this position. Approximately $10M annually is managed through this account. Needs to be zero-out at year-end.Ensure that contracts are fully executed, and that the organization stays in compliance with all corporate policies.Ensure that all vendor payments are in line with approved contractsProficient with the SAP process. Enter Shopping Carts and see them through to payment, processing Service Entry Sheets and confirmations to get payments postedEnsure payments are posted in the month of the activity or accrued for in the month of the activitySupporting standardized allocation processes and compliance with U.S. GAAP and 3M financial standardsLead corporate ticketing for businesses, charities, etc. throughout the enterpriseSupports with travel, meeting requests, and events.Implements processes, ideas and thought to better 3Ms corporate sponsorshipsCoordinates meetings and discussions to ensure progress as documented.Provide support to allteam members working across multiple projects. Working tasks may include:Schedule projects for assigned area of responsibility by working with internal clients and/ or external customers to coordinate schedules and ensure the right team mix (experience and expertise) is available for each project. Confirms start dates, adjusts project schedules due to deadlines, calendars, etc.Actively participated in relevant corporate partnerships, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3Ms values and ethical standards.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionThree (3) years finance/accounting job experience in a private, public, government, or military environmentThree (3) years of experience in project management skills in a private, public, government, or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Knowledge of Events & Sponsorships (InviteManager)Financial/accounting knowledge at or above the level needed to qualify for professional certificationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSkills include teamwork, problem solving, organization and critical thinkingEvent planningUnderstands and enforces corporate policies and proceduresKnowledge of computer programs and corporate systems relevant to the financial areas (SAP, DICE) required.
