Maries County Bank Receptionist/Teller The Maries County Bank St. Robert in Saint Robert, Missouri

General Statement of Duties:

This position provides exceptional customer service to incoming callers. Position responsibilities include opening and actively managing the switchboard. This position also provides clerical support to other areas of the bank on an as needed basis.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greets callers and customers of the bank in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
  • Professionally administers all incoming calls.
  • Provides callers with general bank information such as the bank address, directions to bank branches, fax numbers, the website address and other related information.
  • Transfers callers to voicemail or takes messages as needed when co-workers are unavailable.
  • Ensures phone calls are directed according to customer need.
  • Answers customer inquiries about the status of various accounts over the phone.
  • Assists customers with completing the necessary forms to claim debit card fraud.
  • Transfers funds from account to account as directed by the customer.
  • Assists customers with online banking password resets.
  • Processes Instant Issue Debit Card requests, prints cards, and balances the account as needed.
  • Contacts customers with suspicious account activity to see if charges are valid and forwards fraudulent transactions to the bookkeeping department.
  • Prepares the main lobby according to opening and closing procedures as needed.
  • Assists in the collection and processing of mail as needed.
  • Maintains notary credentials in order to assist customers with notary needs.
  • Enters department cross app as needed.
  • Assists with balancing branch cashiers check, money order, and cash advance accounts as needed.
  • Coordinates with the Marketing and IT team to be sure up to date information is displayed on monitors within the branch and the outdoor marquee.
  • Accurately handles all transactions assigned to the teller window on an as needed basis.
  • Orders business and personal checks and deposit slips.
  • Assists customers with entry into safe deposit boxes.
  • Maintains branch appointment book.
  • Balances branch employee jean fund and soda accounts.
  • Balances the new accounts report as needed.
  • Performs a variety of clerical duties including photocopying, faxing and filing.
  • Assists in the collection and processing of mail as needed.
  • Follows bank policies and procedures, including state and federal regulations at all times.
  • Maintains departmental appearance, both personal and general.
  • Assists customers with problem resolution and upholds customer service guidelines.
  • Serves customers in a cordial and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction with service provided by the bank and upholds customer service guidelines.
  • Actively cross-sells bank services to customers.
  • Upholds customer confidentiality at all times.
  • Takes advantage of opportunities to promote the Bank when involved in voluntary community activities and civic organizations to cross sell the Banks products and services.
  • Completes other duties and assists in other departments as assigned.
