About the Job
This role involves overseeing the Operational Excellence program at the Ste. Genevieve, MO site to enhance processes and financial outcomes in line with MLC’s goals.
Facilitate /lead/direct improvement projects.
Coach and mentor project leaders and managers in change management competencies and strategies.
Work with Operational Excellence Leader for the Regional locations to provide Company Standards consistent with all MLC sites.
Support planning that defines program scope and content.
Identify improvement opportunities and assist organization in prioritization of effort.
Promote effective use of contemporary problem-solving tools and industry best practices.
Support plant and functional leaders in deployment of Operational Excellence programs within the Ste Genevieve, MO location of MLC.
Train and develop employees in problem solving methods and techniques.
Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities, as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent experience with a technical degree).
Experience: 5 or more years related operational excellence experience in a top-notch manufacturing and/or service environment. Strong coaching, training, and facilitating experience along with history of developing high performance teams.
Abilities: Analytical capabilities with relevant experience in financial and general business background.
Certifications: Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodology is highly desired.
Knowledge: Must be intimately familiar with continuous improvement philosophy, terminology, and tools application.
