Under the supervision Salinas Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for inspecting and repairing Green House's, water pumps, irrigation systems, conveyors systems and electrical issues. Also known as service technicians, these professionals oversee maintenance inspections records, monitor inventory, assemble mechanical components, and perform mechanical and electricals repairs. They usually work in green houses area that are outdoor. The goal of this job is to effectively perform routine maintenance, parts installation and make repairs to efficiently maintain a facility green houses and irrigation system that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year. What You'll Do:

  • Be responsible for performing and supervising routine maintenance works on green houses and other facilities, such as checking roof plastics, operation system and doors, irrigation systems, electrical connections, and others.

  • Inspect conveyors systems including, wheel bearings, belts, transmissions, and other mechanics components to ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectively.

  • Coordinate and carry out carpentry, construction and/or remodeling work.

  • Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, screwdrivers, aerial lifts, hoists, and jacks, to repair some greenhouses while constantly utilizing safety precaution.

  • Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.

  • Responsible for compiling the work schedule complete any documentation on maintenance records.

  • Test training to your supervisees in PPE, Hand and Power Tools, Scaffolds, Ergonomics, and other Safety Programs

  • Maintain communication with your supervisor about preventive maintenance works and be able to analyze and present new ideas.

Qualifications

Education:

  • You have a High School Diploma/GED required. An Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering or Technical Trade School Degree is preferred.

What Skills You Need:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft, Power Point, Excel, AutoCAD, or other similar drawing programs

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimum of direct supervision.

  • Be able to lead contracted personnel.

  • Great knowledge in security and safety aspects

  • Great time management skills including the ability to manage a substantial workload.

  • Interpersonal skills for developing a client base and working in a team environment.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple concurrent activities and deliver on commitments under tight time constraints.

  • Ability to work in a team environment to deliver per maintenance objectives.

  • Strong ability in listening and communication, including consulting by telephone.

  • Comfortable working with colleagues with a variety of backgrounds.

  • Focused on delivering effective, usable results.

  • Sound interpersonal skills, confidence, and ability to form good working relationships and negotiate effectively with internal and external contacts.

  • Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving
