As an Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Assist the manager with all aspects of the operations of a State Liquor Store.
  • Delegate work assignments.
  • Contribute to the department's service-focused mission{target="_blank"} by providing superior customer service.
  • Maintain employee leave and payroll records.
  • Receive and fill orders for licensees.
  • Perform cashiering duties.

The best qualified candidate for this position is someone who:   **


  • Has management experience in a fast paced retail store.
  • Has the ability to bring out the best in their employees.
  • Has the ability to ensure that customers receive excellent service.
  • Has a strong work ethic.
  • Is 21 years of age or older.
  • Is able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Is able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.

  • Preference may be given to current employees of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services.

Health Insurance - Public Employee Health Program (PEHP):

Retirement - Utah Retirement Systems (URS):

  • Employer contributions equal to 10% of your salary between both a pension and 401(k) plan or a 401(k) only plan.
