ASSOCIATED FOOD STORES, INC. LMS Admin and Content Development - Training Specialist in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

JOB SUMMARY:

The Training Specialist - Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator and Content Developer is responsible for tailoring the LMS to align with our company's objectives. They will oversee all administration and maintenance of said system, including managing and customizing the LMS platform. The Training Specialist will also work with subject matter experts to develop online training content for the platform.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Training Specialist will ensure that the operational performance of the LMS software is on track and will maximize effective and efficient utilization of the LMS.
  • Work with the LMS provider to remain up to date on system capabilities, updates, and features and assist in integrating new technologies within the LMS.
  • Oversee consistent organization of training content on the LMS.
  • Create courses, learning paths, catalogs, custom pages & menus, reports, certifications, and curricula.
  • Provide assistance and system training to all LMS administrators.
  • Oversee LMS governance and manage user permissions.
  • Work with the LMS software provider to resolve any technical issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements and provide feedback to enhance the learner's experience.
  • Provide end-user support when needed.
  • Support the implementation and onboarding of the LMS for member retailers who subscribe to the LMS content and services.
  • Create online training content. Work with subject matter experts to design, develop, and track training courses.

     

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • One to two years of experience with LMS administration strongly preferred but not required; Docebo software experience a plus. 
  • Ability to create online training. Knowledge of learning principles, training course design, and content development.
  • Experience with content authoring software preferred (Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, Canva or similar).
  • High School diploma required.
  • Possess strong technical acumen and proficiency in working with various software applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain exceptional professional working relationships with internal and external customers needed.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong attention-to-detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
