The newly established Intensive Outpatient Clinic (IOC) is an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals who collaborate and deliver exceptional patient-centered care for a targeted population identified as high risk for poor health outcomes and high utilization of healthcare services. The IOC team is comprised of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, care managers, social workers and medical assistants.Provides assistive care to patients. Facilitates the efficient delivery of patient care, supports the professional role of the licensed staff, and provides support and assistance as directed by licensed staff in rendering basic healthcare to the patient. Assists with clerical functions as a multi-skilled auxiliary worker.As a patient-focused organization, the University of Utah Health Sciences exists to enhance the health and well-being of people through patient care, research and education.
