Responsibilities will include:
· Finishes concrete surfaces /expansions joints/edges using hand and powered floats, edgers, jointers, and saws
· Repairs rough or defective areas in concrete surfaces, including application of cement, sand, or other treatments or compounds
· Custom creates final finishes using a variety of artistic methods including acid wash, compounds, and cement
· Cuts, chips, fills, and grouts on surfaces to prepare a finished product
· Monitors and facilitates curing process based on weather conditions
· Maintains finishing equipment; Keeps all tools and equipment clean and free of contaminants
· Ensures a safe work environment and reports unsafe conditions to Foreman
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Ability to understand, and follow written and oral instruction (English), and communicate effectively with crew, Foreman, and Management
· Possess strong working knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
· Experienced with concrete tools and equipment related to the installation/finishing of concrete
· Ability to work independently or as a team member, based on the task
· Ability to work overtime, night, and weekends as required
· Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods
· Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
· Fluency in Spanish is considered a plus
· Commercial construction experience preferred
