Responsibilities
As a Sr.manager, will lead and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of our production systems. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with deep experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and site reliability engineering, and has a passion for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and collaboration between teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing SRE team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
Define team goals, set priorities, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Oversee the implementation of service-level objectives (SLOs), service-level agreements (SLAs), and error budgets.
Drive the reduction of operational incidents, postmortem analysis, and implementation of preventative measures.
Champion incident response, management, and root cause analysis (RCA).
Ensure systems are designed with resilience, redundancy, and scalability in mind.
Define and enforce best practices for incident management, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to enhance system reliability and performance.
Lead efforts to improve system architecture and identify opportunities for automation.
Ensure that SRE principles are embedded in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) across engineering teams.
Lead capacity planning, load balancing, and performance tuning efforts to ensure systems can handle traffic growth and increased demand.
Oversee the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
Drive the automation of operational tasks, focusing on reducing manual work and increasing efficiency.
Ensure that the infrastructure is cost-efficient, reliable, and scalable.
Advocate for automation and proactive monitoring to reduce the frequency and severity of incidents.
Analyze trends and metrics to forecast potential issues and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or related disciplines, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Deep knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker).
Proven track record of managing large-scale, distributed systems in a production environment.
Strong background in automating infrastructure, monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar.
Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
Strong understanding of networking, security practices, and distributed system architectures.
Leadership & Communication:
Excellent leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to drive initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
