This position will assist with San Antonio Division operations accounting and
work with accounts payable on use of proper account coding and billing decks.
Assist with AFE and deck set ups, rebills, prepare monthly and quarterly
accounting journal entries, perform AFE analysis and reconciliations,
record cost allocations and equipment billings, assist with ad hoc
projects, and other aspects of division operations accounting. This
position will entail developing a well-rounded knowledge of the Company
operations, cost accounting processes and systems, and COPAS accounting
guidelines with a particular emphasis on joint interest billing. Special
projects as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred. A business degree in a related
field will be considered, must have at least 18 hours of approved accounting
courses. Must possess good analytical, communication (written and
verbal), and organizational skills. Requires intermediate skill level in
Excel. Must have a good work ethic, be accurate, dependable and detail
oriented. Must be self-motivated, team player, comfortable working under
pressure, possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with
various offices and departments. Knowledge of AS/400 system a plus. Must
