The Role

The Director, Federal Programs provides strategic guidance and direction to a dedicated team of Principal Architects, Engineers, Developers, and Program Managers that support Security and Cyber practices for federal customers. Provides strategic guidance for the growth of programs and projects as assigned. Capable of critical thinking and initiating out-of-the-box ideas, concepts, or capabilities and then determining their feasibility. Oversees and guides integration efforts that bring new and emerging technologies and capabilities from the labs or vendor initiatives to the Federal market via Pilots, OTA’s or other means. Participates in and supports engagement with National Labs, industry partners and customers such as DARPA and AFRL to bring new technologies and capabilities to market. Provides Architectural, Engineering, and SME support to aid Sales in closing highly technical sales opportunities and provides post-sales engineering support for implementation of complex solutions across Federal sales channels.

The Main Responsibilities

Responsible for execution and expansion of assigned Cyber programs

Plans, integrates, and directs cross-functional customer engagements at all levels by non-sales and sales teams to grow the business and ensure customer satisfaction

Directs and brings focus to efforts to expand addressable Federal markets in the areas of new technologies and security

Drives customer engagement at Executive level to ensure customer driven methodologies, procedures, and systems in assigned programs achieve a second to none customer experience

Integrates efforts of assigned resources with Sales, Sales Engineering, Service Delivery, Innovation Center, and Product to streamline the path for rapidly bringing new technologies and cyber capabilities to market

Manages ongoing external and internal senior leader relationships to generate new strategic opportunities and expand scope of assigned contracts

Manages large budgets and complex spend plans. Provides guidance and direction to ensure all aspects of programs operate within established budgets

Develops and oversees a personnel development plan that ensures team members maintain and expand technical knowledge and skill sets

Leads and directs team contributions to proposals

Directs participation in Research and Development (R&D) lab testing of leading-edge technologies to meet current and future customer requirements and works with senior vendor leaders to help drive technology roadmaps

Skills:

Strategic visionary with exceptionally strong communication, persuasion, and analytical problem-solving skills

Strong cyber security and network engineering background and knowledge

Full life-cycle management experience supporting large scale programs

Demonstrated ability to make decisive decisions at the strategic level and capability to provide tailored guidance and direction to achieve results

Strong team leadership skills. Proven ability to form and develop teams to achieve cooperation and synergy in a matrixed environment. Evidence of ability to shape teams with a commitment to company core values that outperform expectations with respect to assigned goals and objectives

Proven expertise in the management and control of large budgets and resources and demonstrated ability to multitask in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment

What We Look For in a Candidate

Bachelor’s degree with experience in cyber security and network engineering

14 plus years’ experience in Cyber, Security, and Information Technology

Experience in solution development and Program/Project management leading security focused Federal programs and projects

Must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information (applicants selected will be subject to a government security re-investigation)

Other Requirements:

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification or other relatable certifications.

Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI access required and ability to be cleared for additional program access as required

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$163,993 - $218,657 in these states: TX.
