Atlas Engineer in Training - EIT (CM Engineer) in San Antonio, Texas

Position : Engineer in Training - EIT (CM Engineer)

Location : San Antonio, TX

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct business in a professional, honest, and ethical fashion at all times

  • Applies principles, methods and techniques of engineering technology to a wide variety of Geotechnical and Transportation related activities

  • Assists in performing construction inspections

  • Assists in performing material sampling and testing

  • Collects engineering data at projects sites including geotechnical drilling

  • May serve as lead worker

  • Uses automated programs and computer-assisted design/engineering systems

  • Prepare proposals and assist in invoicing

  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

  • Assist Project Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Civil Engineering, with ability to obtain PE License within 3 years

  • Ability to obtain Engineer-In-Training certification within first 6 months

  • BS in other engineering fields or mathematics

  • 6 months of experience or summer internship is preferred

  • Communicate effectively

  • Maintain effective working relationships with others

  • Preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files and reports

Technical Requirements:

  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel

  • Technical report writing including Geotechnical Engineering Reports

  • AASHTO Site Manager

  • Technical Document Preparation

  • Knowledge of TXDOT Specifications and CFR 23, Part 470

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Travel as needed to assigned Construction Projects

  • EIT Registration with the Texas Board of Engineers

  • I.T. Certification through TBPE is preferred
