Job Summary:
Methodist Healthcare System & Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking motivated applicants for a one-year advanced NON-ACGME surgical fellowship in cardiothoracic transplantation & MCS beginning summer 2025.
Upon completion of this surgical fellowship program for advanced surgical heart failure, the fellow will have the knowledge and technical skills in the preoperative evaluation, operative management, and postoperative care of patients with advanced heart failure required MCS implantation and heart and lung transplantation.
Qualified Candidates:
M.D., D.O. or equivalent international training
Satisfactory completion of an integrated 6-year (I6) cardiothoracic surgery residency, or the equivalency of a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship training
Board certified or board eligible
Eligible for an unrestricted medical licensure in Texas preferred
