Google Global Lead, Mobile and Reach, YouTube Product Partnerships in San Bruno, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience working in business development or partnerships.

  • 5 years of experience working at a technology company or mobile device company in a partnerships capacity.

  • 3 years of experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience driving individual partnerships with large, sensitive partners, identifying and defining custom integrations.

  • Experience scaling partnerships programs.

  • Experience translating first-of-a-kind technical integrations into "from scratch" term sheets and legal agreements.

  • Experience managing direct reports and building/leading high performing teams.

  • Experience driving viewership growth in the mobile ecosystem, and fluency with technical concepts.

  • Product-minded, strategic thinker who can operate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment, converting complex legal, business, and product issues into straightforward, timely decisions to make at the right level of the organization.

The YouTube Product Partnerships team drives partner strategy and manages the key relationships that help to make YouTube’s products more universally accessible and useful. We own the business side of new products and initiatives, and our strategic partnerships seek to build, distribute, grow, and protect YouTube’s products globally. We know how to assess partnership opportunities in any situation, define a strategy, and work closely within our team, and with Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical partnerships that help evolve our business.

As a Global Lead, you will be responsible for driving partnerships in the mobile ecosystem, from OEMs to major platforms/services that are critical to YouTube’s business. You will maximize the opportunities between partners and us, identifying creative integrations and approaches to help achieve our mutual goals. You will lead a team in defining and structuring strategic partnerships, discussing agreements, and managing partner relationships.

In this role, you will be an expert at breaking down complex issues and know how to work closely with product, engineering, legal, PR, and other teams to take on issues and identify creative, commercial, and technical solutions to address business and product needs. You will drive strategic approaches and problem-solve, navigate new areas of technology, and bridge the gaps across commercial, legal, and technical.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Drive YouTube’s partnerships strategy with mobile ecosystem partners (i.e., mobile device partners and popular apps), with a focus on driving viewership and audiences through custom integrations.

  • Identify opportunities and drive resolution with third-party platforms by threading the needle on technical, commercial, and legal solutions. Drive alignment cross-functionally and manage stakeholders.

  • Lead a team through partner management from account plans, identifying opportunities, driving discussions on first-of-a-kind technical integrations, agreement execution, launching partners, and evaluating/optimizing launched integrations.

  • Develop programmatic approaches to the business, including identifying ways to scale successful approaches, improving processes within the team and with other functions, and successfully resolving inefficiencies or conflicts between teams. Develop performance KPIs and data-driven approaches to measure impact and success of partnerships.

  • Serve as a domain expert in audience growth trends and opportunities in the mobile ecosystem.
