About being our Air Quality, Greenhouse Gases and Noise - Sr. Technical Specialist

As anAir Quality, Greenhouse Gases and Noise Senior Technical Specialist,we are looking for an individual with 15+ years of experience providing technical analysis services related to air quality, energy, noise and greenhouse gas analysis to support CEQA/NEPA review. Experience should include preparation of modeling and quantitative technical analyses using CalEEMod, EMFAC, AERMOD, HARP, SoundPlan, or related software.

As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service for a variety of project types including land development, utilities, and transportation. Project deliverables will include complete technical studies and CEQA/NEPA document sections. As a member of ourEnvironmental Services Team, you will support our team to deliver creative solutions for clients' environmental compliance requirements and prepare high quality deliverables that Psomas Environmental Services is known for.

Responsibility Highlights for our Air Quality, Greenhouse Gases and Noise - Sr. Technical Specialist

  • Serve as the Senior Technical Expert for Air Quality, Greenhouse Gases and Noise
  • Identify and present creative solutions to Clients and internal staff
  • Serve as a Technical Expert during public meetings and presentations
  • Manage large-scale projects or technical sections/reports for large-scale projects
  • Act as Senior Review, QA/QC for technical work
  • Effectively communicate with clients as main contact for large, complex projects
  • Actively seek out new business and new clients
  • Participate in Strategic Planning related to growth of the Air Quality, GHG, and Noise practice
  • Successfully oversee, manage, mentor, train and delegate workload of staff
  • Be responsible for budgets and schedules for all work products within the Air Quality, GHG, and Noise department
  • Review, provide revisions, and approve invoices; manage A/R, as needed

Minimum Qualifications to be our Air Quality, Greenhouse Gases and Noise - Sr. Technical Specialist

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or other earth sciences, planning, physics, engineering, statistics, Atmospheric Science/Meteorology or related subjects; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years' recent experience in providing technical analysis services including conducting quantitative analyses
  • 7+ years' experience managing a team of technical staff
  • Must have the ability to conduct field work for extended periods of time
  • Experience preparing Health Risk Assessments and Dispersion Modeling

  • A competitive salary! The expected range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000/salary depending on experience Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates
