Description
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Customer Service Representative to join our nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our mission by providing exceptional service to our donors, supporters, and beneficiaries. This position requires a compassionate individual with excellent communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to navigate diverse situations with empathy and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Donor Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for donors, addressing inquiries and providing information about our organization's initiatives.
Assist with donation processing, acknowledgments, and donor appreciation efforts.
Cultivate positive relationships with donors through effective communication and stewardship.
Supporter Engagement:
Engage with supporters through various channels, including phone, email, and social media.
Provide information on our programs, events, and volunteer opportunities.
Actively listen to supporters' concerns and feedback, offering appropriate solutions or escalating issues as needed.
Information Dissemination:
Effectively communicate the organization's mission, values, and impact.
Distribute information about programs, events, and fundraising campaigns.
Collaborate with internal teams to stay informed about ongoing initiatives.
Problem Resolution:
Handle supporter complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Document and report recurring issues for process improvement.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records in the database.
Generate reports and analyze data related to donor and supporter interactions.
Assist with administrative tasks related to fundraising campaigns and events.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant experience is a plus.
Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Empathetic and patient demeanor, with a passion for helping others.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
