Description

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Customer Service Representative to join our nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our mission by providing exceptional service to our donors, supporters, and beneficiaries. This position requires a compassionate individual with excellent communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to navigate diverse situations with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Donor Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for donors, addressing inquiries and providing information about our organization's initiatives.

  • Assist with donation processing, acknowledgments, and donor appreciation efforts.

  • Cultivate positive relationships with donors through effective communication and stewardship.

Supporter Engagement:

  • Engage with supporters through various channels, including phone, email, and social media.

  • Provide information on our programs, events, and volunteer opportunities.

  • Actively listen to supporters' concerns and feedback, offering appropriate solutions or escalating issues as needed.

Information Dissemination:

  • Effectively communicate the organization's mission, values, and impact.

  • Distribute information about programs, events, and fundraising campaigns.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to stay informed about ongoing initiatives.

Problem Resolution:

  • Handle supporter complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

  • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Document and report recurring issues for process improvement.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records in the database.

  • Generate reports and analyze data related to donor and supporter interactions.

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to fundraising campaigns and events.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant experience is a plus.

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a nonprofit environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Empathetic and patient demeanor, with a passion for helping others.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
