Amentum Marine Diesel Mechanic - Engineering Technician II in San Diego, California

Marine Electrician

Amentum, located at NAB Coronado, CA is interviewing for a Marine Electrician / Diesel Mechanic with small craft experience. Requires performing preventive and corrective maintenance, performing pre-start and post-operation checks, propulsion systems operation and casualty control in-port and underway on small INLS/OPDS Navy watercraft. This position requires some travel. Must be equivalent to Navy Second Class Swimmer qualified.

Experience/qualifications required : Former Navy Electrician or Electronics Technician with Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS) experience is ideal. Must have minimum six (6) years Navy EM /ET rating or equivalent civilian experience. Experience with 460 and 115 Vac distribution systems, 24 Vdc, diesel engine electronic control systems and programmable logic controllers would be very beneficial. Occasionally work hours will be changed based on the type of training required. Some over-time may be periodically required. Work is performed at a Navy Training Command and personnel must maintain highest standards of personal grooming and dress as well as maintaining cleanliness of your work areas or assigned craft. Must support company Ethics Program, Workplace Environment, Occupational Safety policies. Must be willing to complete and submit required documents for Base Access approval.
