Material Coordinator - San Diego, CA

Job Description

  • This position will support the material movements between Trident and NASSCO.

Responsibilities

  • Write requisitions and release work packets.

  • Unload delivery trucks and deliver material to the assigned locations.

  • Check inventory and update managers of any material damaged or missing.

  • Prepare material that needs to go to the warehouse.

  • Manage all materials coming to the yard from Trident warehouse.

  • Manage all materials coming to the yard from NASSCO.

  • Handle backorders and material issues.

  • Manage returned material.

  • Maintain good housekeeping in the H-1 area.

  • Ensure the forklift is in good working order.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working with computers and/or in a production setting (minimum of 1 year).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word).

  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within a team environment.

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented self-starter.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking professional office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Work will be at both the Trident warehouse in Otay Mesa and within the NASSCO yard. The majority of the workload will be within the NASSCO yard.

Job Type & Location

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
