Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Serve as a trainer to support the Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) for all training curriculum under Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) to include Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge and Skills (L.I.N.K.S.), LifeSkills, Unit, Personal and Family Readiness Program (UPFRP), and Readiness & Deployment Support (RDS) Training as directed by the Regional MCFTB Director. Coordinates and provides trainings to District and Recruiting Station Marines, Sailors, and families as needed. Training will require extensive travel throughout the assigned area. May augment Depot MCFTB training requirements as needed.Coordinate and provide L.I.N.K.S. Foundations, Keystone and Crossroads trainings to support families by providing valuable information regarding the Marine Corps lifestyle. Training must be conducted using standardized templates and facilitator guides provided by HQMC, MCFTB. Develop and deliver supplemental information to the HQMC templates regarding local and national resource information in support of the information, resources and referral service function.oordinate and provide LifeSkills Training and Education, which encompasses topics that enhance the capabilities necessary to successfully meet the challenges of everyday life, the mobile military lifestyle, the heightened operations tempo and the unique mission on recruiting. Coordinate and provide training on the UPFRP. Provide standardized training to Family Readiness Command Teams, Deployment Readiness Coordinators (DRC), Uniformed Readiness Coordinators (URC), and UPFRP volunteers for units supported by the installation. Provide functional systems training on all authorized and approved communication tools within Family Readiness. Training must be conducted using standardized templates and facilitator guides provided by HQMC, MCFTB. Develop and deliver supplemental information to the HQMC templates regarding local resource information in support of the information, resource and referral service function.Coordinate with District DRCs to support District Spouse Orientation Courses as required.Coordinate and deliver training on RDS training suite to include, as appropriate to the MCRC mission, if requested. Training must be conducted using standardized templates and facilitator guides provided by HQMC, MCFTB. Develop and deliver supplemental information to the HQMC templates regarding local and national resource information in support of the information, resource and referral service function.Facilitate marketing of course offerings, in collaboration with District DRCs/URCs to achieve maximum attendance/participation.Establish and maintain an effective communications network among MCCS, Marine and Family Programs, Chaplains, commanders, DRCs, URC, UPFRP volunteers, and community support organizations, to facilitate best utilization of education resources.Communicate effectively with MCFTB Director, implement and maintain evaluative measures to analyze assigned program training to determine adequacy and effectiveness of program quality. Provide evaluations and comprehensive analysis to HQMC to ensure effectiveness of training curriculum is consistent with the specific needs of Marines, Sailors and families, and to ensure quality of trainers/training meets the desired benchmarks as established by HQMC. Analyze challenges including identifying relevant factors, gathering pertinent information, and recognizing solutions and best practices.Recruit volunteers to serve as L.I.N.K.S. mentors, and provide L.I.N.K.S. mentor training for each volunteer. Coordinate meetings, and provide professional development opportunities for mentors. Documents L.I.N.K.S. volunteer mentors' training and service hours. Recognize volunteers in accordance with established guidelines provided by CMC (MF).Recommend changes to course content to HQMC, MCFTB regarding specific curriculum as needed for their area of operations (AOR). Work collaboratively with DRCs/URCs to recommend courses aligned to specific unit requirements. Communicate with and educate DRCs/URCs and unit Family Readiness Command Teams to promote participation in the programs. Attend Welcome Aboard briefs, all hands functions, and other public events to promote programming and recruit participants and volunteers, as appropriate and when possible.Maintain accurate and complete records documenting each program presented to include, but not limited to: length of presentation, number of and demographics of participants, and participant evaluations. Prepare and submit reports as required to HQMC, MCFTB.Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include weekend and nighttime family briefs/programs. Must be able to accommodate extensive travel throughout the assigned region in order to support MCFTB functions. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications BACHELOR’S DEGREE from an accredited college or university in a related field appropriate to the work of position AND THREE YEARS of experience in the occupation, or a related field or work area, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.Demonstrated skill to independently train, review, and analyze effectiveness of training. Must be able to train curricula which do not require professional licensure, but may require specialized education and or experience. Such functions include teaching, facilitating educationally-based groups or programs (where no clinical interpretation of behavioral health is made), administrative functions, or providing generally available information to groups or individuals. Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing; ability to develop quality training; ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with all levels of employees and command, both inside and outside the organization; knowledge of military structure and protocol; ability to exercise initiative in resolving problems, rendering decisions, and carrying out revisions to plans; ability to work effectively with others, to supervise, to facilitate, to run meetings, and to take charge and direct an event when necessary; knowledge of community resources for Marines and their families; ability to analyze data and present logical conclusions and recommendations; ability to utilize all Microsoft applications.Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under the age of 18.
