Who We Are

HII is seeking a Training Representative 2 to join our Fleet Sustainment group! This position is part of the Integrated Training Systems Installation and Sustainment (ITSIS) support contract for the U.S. Navy. This role is Remote within the San Diego, CA area. Occasional training events will need to be attended in person at our local office.

What You Will Do

  • Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel.

  • Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.

  • Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.

  • Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.

  • May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.

  • May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.

What You Must Have

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance.

  • Must have experience operating and maintaining Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT/ATD) systems.

  • Experience Performing training analysis, developing programs of instruction including lesson plans, and conducting training in support of the Government.

  • Experience assisting in developing training curriculum, documentation and conducting all training for supported program.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC card.

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.

Bonus Points For...

  • Prefer candidates who have experience on Instructor duty as a Master Training Specialist.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
