Amazon Principal Product Manager - Tech, Amazon Q Builder in San Francisco, California

Description

AWS is hiring a Principal Technical Product Manager for Amazon Q to help reimagine the software development lifecycle. Our mission is to use generative AI transform how developers write, build, debug, and deploy software. You will rethink the development process, and invent new tools for a new breed of developer.

If you're passionate about developer experience then this is an excellent opportunity. You will work directly with our large-scale customers and internally with different AWS teams to build developer tools that are vital to their business. You will play an important role in helping developers increase their productivity and get the most out of the AWS cloud.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and delivery of services and tools that help developers build cloud applications.

  • Identify new product opportunities and write their business proposals.

  • Drive the coordination and clear communication of a multi-product roadmap, working across multiple groups.

  • Work with engineering and design teams to define fast-paced, but realistic schedules.

  • Create the pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market plans.

  • Enable the sales team with product training and collateral.

  • Create and drive a community engagement plan.

About the team

Our team cares deeply about developer experience. Team lead, Brendan, was co-founder and CEO of Fig.io, a developer tools startup acquired by AWS in 2023.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

  • 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building productivity tools for software developers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
