Autodesk's Education team is looking for a Senior Manager, Field Engagement to lead the U.S. team. You will report to the Senior Director, Field Engagement and Autodesk Learning Partner Program. You will lead a team of passionate, experienced account managers focused on building relationships with specific institutions, faculty, and students. This team uses in-depth industry and software knowledge to lead software, workflow, and curriculum adoption with new customers to earn trusted advisor status. We ask that you can develop and test different systems and strategies, and be able to operate in situations that are sometimes ambiguous. You will coach individuals for growth and performance in account management, and customer success. We work in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of education account managers to meet overall AEX goals for the U.S.

  • Ensure tactics and activities are aligned with Autodesk and AEX strategy.

  • Work with leaders in Marketing, Business Operations, Strategy, and Channel.

  • Ensure coordination of activities and resources with direct team and Autodesk Learning Partners.

  • Represent Autodesk's vision, mission, value, and POV in different educational forums and events.

  • Identify opportunities and risks with all plans.

  • Work with your team to guide engagement at complex accounts. Develop executive, faculty, and student engagement strategies.

  • Create clarity for your team to operate in uncertainty.

  • Influence and develop lasting relationships with your colleagues inside and outside of AEX.

  • Mentor your team members for growth and performance in all areas of account relationship skills.

  • Deal with performance issues.

  • Use SFDC to collect and analyze account info, activities, and opportunities.

  • Summarize insights from field activity to inform AEX strategy.

  • Manage the team's quarterly budget and assess investment and sponsorship opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams where success is sometimes dependent on creating new ways of doing things.

  • BS, or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, or Technical related field.

  • Understanding of account segmentation, account planning and performance tracking.

  • Collaborative spirit who enjoys working in a team environment and connecting different functions for greater success.

  • Accomplished diplomat with high levels of professional confidence.

  • Experience communicating and collaborating with senior institutional leadership.

  • A reputation for developing people.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $147,600 and $238,700. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
