Sunrun Staff Product Manager, Post-Approval Products in San Francisco, California

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding customer needs

  • Building and getting approval on business cases

  • Developing and launching products

  • Monitoring and refining products to reach profitability and scale

As a Product Manager, you'll have the chance to work closely with a diverse range of business functions like Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Policy, Finance, Operations, and Technology & Engineering Teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, conduct and synthesize customer research into actionable product insights

  • Own solution innovation in your domain, discovering differentiated approaches to meet our customer’s unmet needs

  • Lead product management for key elements of Sunrun’s Post-PTO business

  • Show up as Sunrun’s expert on the customer needs, business drivers, market & policy landscape, and technology options related to your products

  • Develop product requirements and influence technology partner roadmaps

  • Understand, articulate the value, and manage the impact of new products on sales, operations, and customer service teams

  • Collaborate closely with strategic external partners

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

  • Passionate about Sunrun's mission to Create a Planet Run by the Sun.

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7-10 years of experience, including minimum of 3 years of product management experience related to distributed energy systems (or equivalent) preferred but not required. Experience related to shaping customer voiced insights as they relate to product development preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet based financial analysis and techno-economic modeling is required. Practical experience with Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar for data analysis, visualization and modeling is preferred but not required.

  • Familiar with agile/iterative product discovery methodologies. Direct experience in applying these approaches to financial products in a consumer context is preferred.

  • Proven track record of developing products or offers from concept to launch and iteration.

  • Adept at matrix leadership of cross-functional teams.

  • High EQ, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with diverse colleagues at Sunrun and externally, and empathize with customers.

  • Skilled at simplifying complex concepts for non-expert audiences.

  • Creative thinker and problem solver with a can-do attitude.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:

$129,027.15 to $172,036.20

Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
