About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Business Growth Strategy Consultant to lead the Veteran Segment within out Commercial Banking Division.

Diverse Segments, Representation, and Inclusion (DSRI) focuses on expanding diversity at all levels of the company, intentionally deepening our commitment and connection to employees and diverse suppliers and developing products and services for customer segments that are critical to our business. DSRI is closely integrated with other enterprise functions and business lines via dotted line and dual reporting to advance DSRI strategic priorities and drive accountability, including Control Management, Supplier Diversity, and Diverse Customer Segments, Chief Operating Office, and Technology.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a top subject matter expert within Business Growth Strategy functional area to lead initiatives that promote and advance companywide finance with the goal of growth expansion.

  • Manage the process to identify and purchase loans in the secondary market and potential acquisition opportunities.

  • Lead business growth strategies for business development requiring in-depth evaluation.

  • Support various Business Growth Strategy projects to maximize growth and minimize expenses.

  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding implementation of innovative and significant business strategies that significantly influence the business and financial operations.

  • Engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide and serve as an experienced advisor to leadership within Business Growth Strategy functional area.

  • Manage the Veteran Segment Strategy within Commercial Banking to develop or influence initiatives that promote and advance companywide finance growth opportunities.

  • Develop a holistic business approach for Veteran clients that delivers most useful financial products & services.

  • Create, implement, and execute strategic initiatives within this segment involving many stakeholders with diverse priorities and agendas. The main priority is to holistically service the Veteran community.

  • Work cohesively with various senior leaders and team members to effectively engage and advocate for the Veteran community internally and externally.

  • Identify and purchase potential acquisition opportunities and loans in the secondary market for Veteran segment customers and prospects.

  • Support various Business Growth Strategy projects focused on the Veteran segment to maximize growth opportunities and minimize expenses.

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise within Commercial Banking to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business strategies that enhance companywide finance and growth for the Veteran segment.

  • Collaborate in close alignment with Marketing Segment Leader, Strategic Philanthropy, Corporate Communications and Corporate Responsibility and Community Relations teams to represent the Veteran segment in the marketplace.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications

  • Superior familiarity with the Veteran Segment and connected with this community and its leaders through previous work experience.

  • Experience consulting within DE&I, Human Resources, and/or Affirmative Action

  • Self-starter with profound critical thinking, credit underwriting ability and marketing skills

  • Superior ability to work with leaders and team members across lines of business to effectively support our overall strategy with our Veteran customers.

  • Experience analyzing segment data to develop regional and national strategies.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 40% domestically.

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated WF location on the job opening.

Pay Range

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
