Cadence Design Systems, Inc. License Compliance Manager in San Jose, California

  • Job Overview:

  • Oversee License Compliance reviews to closure, in collaboration with Sales and Channel Partners.

  • Engage with organizations to resolve licensing discrepancies and ensure full compliance with licensing agreements.

  • Provide guidance to team members and Channel Partners on engagement and negotiation strategies.

  • Establish and execute on software industry standard audit practices to aid timely and effective resolution on audit and anti-piracy cases.

  • Leverage systems, data analytics and forensics to develop and prioritize license compliance engagements in managing a caseload for the entire region.

  • Investigate, review and qualify non-compliance information to make actionable prior to alignment with sales account teams.

  • Collaborate with vendors and partners in developing and enhancing processes then implementing into practice.

  • Drive and lead strategic initiatives for the License Compliance department with ability to manage resources, systems, and infrastructure requirements in order to scale them worldwide.

  • Job Responsibilities:

  • Proficient with customer interface, engagement and managing sensitive external communications.

  • Strong written/verbal communication: Adept in communications and organizational awareness in understanding dynamics with External (Customers) & Internal stakeholders.

  • Proficient in client negotiations, related to establishing and resolving compliance findings and licensing discrepancies within the context of purchasing software.

  • Proficient in data analytics/reporting and program management (use of Excel)

  • Strong ability to interface and collaborate well with other department stakeholders.

  • Detail oriented in producing high-quality deliverables for an executive audience.

  • Experience with databases or record repository applications including SFDC (forensic tools used by the software license compliance industry – Desirable)

  • Experience in providing guidance for customers to manage and maintain software compliance and improve customers’ ability to optimize software risk and spend.

  • Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, emphasis in Business: Accounting and/or Information Systems (Preferred)

  • Minimum 5-7 years in the software license compliance industry (preferably with Big 4 accounting firm experience or in software license compliance departments)

  • Additional Skills/Preferences:

    Travel: >10% (ensure to call out relevant travel %)

The annual salary range for California is $120,400 to $223,600. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
