The Digital Capability Program Advisor partners with various stakeholders to expand and enhance the Digital Scholar Program.

Chevron’s Digital Scholar Program is preparing Chevron leaders for the future of digital by partnering with notable universities to create one-year Master of Science (MS) degree programs for Chevron employees focused on engineering, management and digital technology. Upon program completion, employees will have technology skills to accelerate the integration of digital tools into our business.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Strategy

  • Lead the design and development of learning strategy to upskill Systems Design Engineers, Data Scientists, and build digital fluency/acumen for the broader workforce

  • Identify external programs to complement existing development offerings (e.g., university programs, certifications and micro-degrees)

  • Lead continuous improvement to evolve the strategy of digital learning and development for the enterprise.

Program Administration & Management

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Digital Scholar Program and partner closely with university program directors

  • Collaborate across the Sponsor Group, Learning and Talent CoE and the IT Function to determine candidate criteria, manage program nomination and selection process, and candidate placement upon program completion.

  • Gather input from the scholars, and leaders to decide whether business needs are being met; support the continuous improvement of the program

  • Partner with Finance and P/SCM to on program budget/financials and contractual activities

  • Provide interim supervisory support for non-US scholars in the digital program

Leadership

  • Partner closely across Learning and Talent CoE teams, Digital Office, Sponsor Organization, Functional Talent Management Group, and senior leadership to deliver on program/capability needs

  • Lead the execution of all engagement events including program open mics to educate leaders and potential candidates on the program, candidate selection events, scholar job placement events, and immersion and reintegration events for selected scholars

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Human Resources, Business, IT, digital or related field

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of program management experienceÂ

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft PowerPoint

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in business-facing HR and/or people development.

  • Capabilities associated with problem-solving. Strategic thinking and creative solutioning in capability program design and development.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with Management at all levels in a variety of complex situations. Ability to collaborate across organizations and form strong trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders; viewed as a credible practitioner

  • Design thinking: seeks to understand the end user/or business needs, generates a variety of options, test potential solutions and seeks feedback.

  • Digital integration: promotes a digital mindset and utilizes tools and technologies to create value to the business.

  • Program management, stakeholder engagement, especially with senior-level stakeholders
