Insight Global Project Manager in San Ramon, California

Job Description

Our client is known for offering services with a focus on outstanding quality, value added engineering and successful project outcomes. These services include engineering only and engineering/procurement/construction (EPC) services for high voltage powerlines and substations. As a Project Manager you will be supporting a local utility in their Electric Generation Interconnection Program, responsible for connecting solar and wind farms to the grid. You will be responsible for acting as a single point of contract (SPOC) with clients and work with their teams to make sure deliverables are met and communications are consistent with clients. You will develop weekly work plans and monitor project health, production, and quality. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the projects, managing and monitoring project timelines, ensuring on time and scope completion, keeping track of budgets, facilitating meetings and coordinating with different teams.

Skills and Requirements

- Project Management experience in utility projects, ideally electric interconnection projects, and/or substation and t-line projects.

- Excellent communication and organization skills

- Knowledge of excel

- Desire knowledge of SAP and understanding of forecasting and schedules in P6

- Understanding of project budget tracking, funding, authorization requests, change orders, etc.

- Desire understanding of Interconnection agreements

- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders * PG&E Experience

* PMP Certification null
