Description Work as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals through this opportunity offered by Robert Half. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are integral functions for this position. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Sandy Springs, Georgia area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

  • Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

  • Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

  • Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

  • Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

  • Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

  • Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

  • Operate full-cycle A/P

  • Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

  • Expertise in Reconcile Vendor Statements

  • Maintain Vendor Files experience

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Experience with Vendor Management

  • Vendor Invoices experience

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  • Detailed and have the ability work independently

  • 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
