What will you do?

• Manage daily transportation and shipping operations, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments.

• Supervise and lead a team of transportation and shipping personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and transportation laws applicable.

• Coordinate with production, warehouse, materials teams to align shipping schedules with manufacturing deadlines.

• Monitor and optimi.ze shipping costs, work closely with SCM to reduce costs with carriers and implementing cost-saving strategies.

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and transportation metrics.

• Address and resolve any issues or delays in the transportation and shipping process.

• Implement and oversee use of transportation management systems (TMS) for efficient operations.

• Prepare and analyze transportation and shipping reports to identify areas for improvement.

What will you need to succeed?

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.

• Proven experience in transportation, shipping, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in logistics software and transportation management systems.

• Effective communication and negotiation skills.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in transportation.
