Applied Materials’ Chamber Controls group is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2024! Chamber Controls develops control systems for a variety of types of products – pressure, flow, temperature, and motion. We do the real-world version of what you learned in control theory classes! The position will entail the tasks from the following:
Develop system identification procedures / automation on which we build control loops
Develop testing procedure / automation to identify control loop performance and optimization
Debug embedded control system, edit / improve existing programs
Tune control loops on industrial semiconductor equipment
Automating Embedded build processes / testing
Scripting using MATLAB and Python
Requirements
Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Experience in MATLAB and Python required
Control system knowledge preferred – feedback control design, system identification, optimization
Experience in mechatronics preferred – sensor, electrical, mechanical, programming interaction
STM32 develop preferred
C/C++ preferred
