We have a great opportunity for a Calibration Technician experienced in Electronics to join our team in Santa Clara, CA.
In this role you will:
Perform calibrations on high level and unique test and measurement instrumentation
Use your troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to work on unique equipment
Help interact with customer to determine needs relating to traceability, adequacy of standards and test procedures utilized by Trescal Inc., as well as, for items requiring repair or limited calibration
Interface directly with customers to determine needs relating to traceability, adequacy of standards and test procedures utilized by Trescal Inc. as well as for items requiring repair or limited calibration
Ensure that preventative maintenance of the laboratory's equipment is performed in a timely and acceptable manner,
Managing workload distribution for the technicians within his/her sphere of influence when the Laboratory Manager is not available.
Performing daily inspections of the incoming equipment to verify: accessories and manuals are available, malfunctions of customer instrumentation, and to change equipment status when appropriate.
Requirements
As a Calibration Technician you must possess:
Military calibration training & work experience PMEL OR TMDE) OR AS Degree in a technical field OR equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience calibrating test & measurement equipment in a commercial or military calibration laboratory.
Experience in calibrating multiple disciplines of Test & Measurement Equipment; i.e.: Electrical/Electronics - DC/low
Strong Communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload
