Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to support daily operations, manage lab equipment service agreements, and coordinate janitorial and space management activities. This role will involve assisting with office and lab builds, handling waste management, managing service tickets, supporting site communications, and coordinating facility setups for group meetings. The technician will work closely with the Facilities Manager and other skilled trades, ensuring the cleanliness of the premises and performing general repairs and services in various maintenance disciplines.
Responsibilities
Support daily operations with operational vendors and manage lab equipment service agreements
Coordinate janitorial support
Lead space management for the entire site
Assist in coordination of office and lab builds
Manage general and universal waste
Handle service tickets
Support site communications
Coordinate facility setups for group meetings
Work closely with the Facilities Manager and other skilled trades
Ensure cleanliness of the premises through inspection and light supervision
Perform general repairs and services in maintenance disciplines such as carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, painting, and custodial tasks
Support various trade personnel in the performance and completion of their duties as needed
Ensure compliance with building and maintenance policies, procedures, SOPs, codes, and regulations, including safety systems and standards
Respond to restroom service requests

Proficiency with hand tools, plumbing, HVAC, repair, electrical, installation, carpentry, and building maintenance
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 3 years of mechanical experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial facility with an emphasis on facility maintenance
Experience with electrical, building equipment, and building repairs
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft applications
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
