The Senior Engineering (DAE) Manager is responsible for driving world-class quality and reliability in Aortic new product development through the product development process (PDP). The position is responsible for managing the design assurance engineering team, intimately tied into product design. This role will also be tased with building out a reliability discipline in the Aortic operating unit with future potential to expand the skillset resource to SHA operating unit (Structural Heart and Aortic)
Structural Heart and Aortic
The Structural Heart and Aortic integrated operating unit offers minimally-invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function of the heart and the aorta. We focus on the transcatheter replacement or repair of the four heart valvesaortic, pulmonic, mitral, tricuspidand the placement of stent grafts to treat aneurysms and dissections of the bodys largest artery, the aorta.
A Day in the Life
Create/manage a technically rigorous and efficient pre-market quality system that consistently enables product performance risks to be identified, characterized, and mitigated to meet or exceed stakeholder and project requirements. Includes the following elements:
Drive Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) principles/process within the DAE team
Risk management process and tools
Test method development and validation
Data integrity and analysis
Documentation and communication of work product
Compliance to worldwide quality system design control and risk management requirements
Support for regulatory submission preparation, internal QC review and agency question responses
Functional manager for a team of engineers and technicians
Manage and enable the engineering team to success in their programs/roles and career development
Identify and hire talent to meet short- and long-term organizational objectives
Create and manage AOP (annual operating plan) for the DAE function
Determines organizational structure and establishes operating policies in alignment with the Business Unit needs and CVG Quality function.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
