Data Center Services Procurement supports Data Center Global Services in obtaining the best services at the lowest costs, and manages the full “Supplier Lifecycle” including Strategic Sourcing and Intake, Onboarding, Solicitations, Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) Compliance, Contract management, Supplier Development, and portions of requisitioning and payment operations.

We are seeking a Procurement professional to support the Americas data center construction space.

As a Procurement Operations Specialist, you will work with the category manager in creating and supporting Vendor qualifications, request for proposals, data analysis, vendor performance dashboards for construction, due diligence, engineering services categories. You will also provide input on procurement processes and tools to help identify waste and enable innovation across teams. The ideal candidate must be collaborative, but also work with autonomy. To be successful in this role you must be highly analytical; think strategically; have a sense of urgency to meet customer timelines; exhibit an intense curiosity and learning drive, succeed in a fast-paced environment; engage key stakeholders where needed; and have a high level of customer focus. Also, you must have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects and driving them to completion to meet business objectives. It will be critical to embrace and model Amazon’s Leadership Principles and have an entrepreneurial spirit with a “get it done” mentality.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

· Be/become a subject matter expert on all systems and policies related to procurement.

· Manage the supplier onboarding and qualification process

· Manage all assigned tender events, and related follow-on contract generation supporting the category manager.

· Develop and enhance process and training documentation

· Contribute to dashboards development, for metrics reporting

· Audit internal tools and processes to ensure data integrity for systems the team relies on including the team's wiki page, vendor management system, SharePoint site, shared drive, etc.

· Train team members on new and existing procedures related to systems and purchasing.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • 1+ years of supply chain experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology

  • Experience in MS Access and SQL

  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
