The Administrative Assistant 2 will perform office support and clerical work for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI), the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), and the Center for Autism Advocacy: Research, Education, and Support (CAARES).
In order to maintain a welcoming environment for prospective students, students, community members, and visiting University staff, the duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide excellent customer service, including telephone, e-mail or in person inquiries
Create and maintain standard operating procedures for administrative tasks and set priorities based on a review of the work to be performed
Work with CDO on planning and coordinating DEI professional development, training and special DEI-related events
Collect data and gather information for reporting purposes to internal and external audiences, including required DEI training completion by employees
Draft and edit general correspondence, revise reports and presentations
Handle inquiries including those of a time-sensitive and confidential nature
Manage department budgets and payments
Maintain and update ODEI's and CAARES' websites and email distribution lists
Maintain office records
Future supervisory responsibilities as CAARES grows and ODEI develops other DEI-focused centers
Actively participate in university activities
Provides building coverage for receptionist in the shared rotation

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have permanent appointment in an Administrative Assistant 2 New York State classified position (or be eligible for transfer) or be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service eligible list for Administrative Assistant 2.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm

Salary: SG-15 $56,355 - $68,269
