- Respond to calls for service, assess scenes and patients, and provide pre-hospital care based on licensure level in accordance with local protocols.
- Operate standard equipment such as stretchers, patient care monitors, diagnostic equipment, radios, pagers, computers, office equipment.
- Operate EMS vehicles under normal and emergency situations in various (sometimes extreme) weather conditions and in remote territories.
- Preform monthly vehicle and supply checks and assures vehicles are adequately stocked, cleaned and in proper working order.
- Often responsible for physically demanding tasks including but not limited to: lifting, carrying and moving patients, hiking, climbing and carrying heavy equipment, extrication of persons from vehicles, bending, and performing CPR for extended periods of time.
- Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments in assigned work areas.
- Often required to perform on-call / standby hours after normal in-house shifts.
- Completes patient care reports in a timely fashion in accordance with agency policy

- May be assigned to Hanna or Saratoga station based on agency need and staff availability and assigned various station duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Station manager or Ambulance Director.
