Phillips 66 Terminal Maintenance Specialist - Savannah, GA in Savannah, Georgia

The Terminal Maintenance Specialist is responsible for general and preventative maintenance, repairs, and projects in support of the Savannah site to maintain timely production and shipments. There are three levels within the Maintenance Specialist classification. In order to progress to higher levels, employees must meet the minimum time requirement, as well as demonstrate proficiency in Basic and Advanced skills and competencies. All positions will also be held accountable to Our Energy in Action and any and other Company policies that may be in place. Training opportunities to progress to higher levels will be evaluated based on years of service and scheduling availability.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Forklift certified

  • Proficient in performing JSEA and completing work permits as business requires

  • Perform Line equipment set-up on all production lines

  • Perform basic piping work

  • Perform basic boiler operations

  • Perform conduit work and pulling wires

  • Perform low voltage non-energized electrical (120V and under)

  • Perform mechanical repairs to compounding and packaging equipment

  • Replace components on pumps, motors, conveyers and packaging equipment

  • Ability to follow work orders and accept work direction

  • Provide support to primary maintenance and repair for all plant process equipment, including preventative/predictive maintenance, and equipment upgrades/reliability

  • Seek opportunities to maximize plant and blending operating efficiencies

  • Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness is all affected areas

  • HSE and PPE compliance as specified per the task being performed

  • Reporting all health, environment, safety and quality near misses/incidents immediately to Supervisor

  • Work a dedicated schedule 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must have a current valid driver's license

  • Currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card prior to employment start date. Note: information regarding TWIC qualification standards may be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic

  • Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform/comply with following:

  • To lift up to 50 pounds

  • To walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry materials up to 30 minutes as work requires

  • To work in a plant environment and outside in harsh weather conditions

  • To work alone or in a team setting

  • To wear personal protective equipment (such as hard hat, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection, etc.)

  • To work fixed schedule (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), with occasional overtime, based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years of experience performing maintenance on production, manufacturing or plant equipment

  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements

*This is a union represented position. The starting hourly contract rate for this position is $36.01 per hour. Future pay increases will be based on the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
