Job Overview:

A drafter with 1-3 years of experience is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The primary objective is to support engineers, architects, and other professionals by producing accurate and precise drawings to help them visualize, design, and develop a wide range of products, structures, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and modifying technical drawings using CAD software such as NX, CREO, AutoCAD or SolidWorks.• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand their design requirements and specifications.• Reviewing and updating existing drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.• Communicating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and design-related issues.• Maintaining and organizing digital files, including drawings and technical documentation.• Staying up-to-date with industry advancements and emerging CAD software.• Providing guidance and mentorship to entry-level drafters and technicians.• Participating in the development and implementation of drafting standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Certification with experience or an Associate's degree or higher in engineering, architecture, or a related field.• 1-3 years of experience in drafting and using CAD software such as NX, CREO, AutoCAD or SolidWorks.• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve design-related issues.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.• Knowledge of industry standards, product lifecycle management tools and design practices.• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor entry-level drafters and technicians.
