Purpose: Primary responsibility is to oversee all reverse logistics, recalls, vendor returns, short-dated product. Maintains inventory integrity throughout the Distribution Center including accurate reporting of all inventory transactions, accurate item file information, and proper internal controls that will provide for a smooth flow of merchandise through the facility.

Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities  * Process all Pharmacy returns for Western Division for customer  * Credit stores as necessary  * Coordinates changes to the inventory for damage, spoilage, vendor returns, department changes, pack changes, and continuity returns with the Accounting Manager and accounting staff.  * Communicate and meet with customer, buyers, store directors, pharmacists, etc. as needed.  * Schedules and coordinates all physical inventories and cycle counts. Prepares physical inventory recaps on a timely basis for distribution to management. Reviews and develops inventory control procedures as appropriate. Identifies and resolves all internal shrink problems.  * Reviews and monitors daily reports to include: Daily Inventory Change, Negative Inventory, Daily Inventory Evaluation, and other inventory related reports.  * Monitors Warehouse outs and inventory adjustments daily and take any necessary corrective action.  * Monitors quarterly parts and supply inventories to ensure accuracy.  * Monitors fuel inventories and reconciliation procedures.  * Maintains record retention program in compliance with corporate guidelines and policies.  * Works with Procurement to resolve excess inventory problems. Monitors store returns and salvage programs.  * Performs shipping/receiving audits on-site and in retail stores as required.  * Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements  * Bachelor's degree in management, logistics, finance, or related field and/or equivalent work experience in distribution.  * Possess ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.  * Possess good communication skills, both oral and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone.  * General knowledge of EDP applications and computer capabilities helpful. Prior experience with personal computer applications preferred.  * Possess supervisory skills and ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.

Physical Enviornment:  * Some work is performed under general office conditions in a temperature controlled environment.  * Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.  * During part of the workday the incumbent will be moving about the Distribution Center warehouse floor and potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc. About 60% of work is in the warehouse.  * Incumbent will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of the workday.  * Requires incumbent to drive to nearby warehouses.  * Some travel may be required.
