In order to make what matters work Eaton Corporation is currently hiring an experienced

Operations Manager (m/f/d)

for our manufacturing plant in Schrems, Niederösterreich, Austria

What you will do:

The main goal for this position is to support the Plant Manager in key manufacturing and supply chain processes, in order to achieve production and logistic objectives consistent with the overall quality and on-time performance requirements. The incumbent will have professional active involvement in the plant’s strategic planning and execution processes an will take lead on key projects driven by process- and product technology in manufacturing and logistic.

  • Drive all Production and Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes and take responsibility, authority and accountability for Production and SCM performance and related KPIs - Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Productivity, Days on hand (DOH), On Time Delivery (OTD), Wall to Wall (W2W), back-orders

  • Support prompt and accurate reporting and corrective actions related to operations/logistics in order to achieve defined performance against plant objectives

  • Work closely with the Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) tool and operation teams to assure to have the right production capacity installed across all product lines; drive/support the fast adjustment of the installed capacity to the demand; prepare and complete action plans; resolve problems

  • Develop and implement improvements in production methods and logistic processes, standards and procedures to ensure effective usage of resources

  • Provide operational data, recommendations to strategic plans and reviews to assure long term plant business growth and stability at the market; participates on the Industry 4.0 strategy execution

  • Support the preparations of budget (planning) and goal setting for the plant and ensures objectives for the site are met within approved budget, schedules and quality specifications

  • Ensure the deployment of the Eaton Business System and lean tools throughout the plant

  • Support high performance work culture and is committed to building organizational capability

  • Serve as a key contributor in ensuring that environmental, health & safety issues are addressed, considering local regulations, by focusing on quality and environmental aspects - Eaton Quality Systems (EQS), Management of Environment, Save and Health (MESH) and Quality Management Systems acc. to ISO standards

  • Support the efficient implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) activities impacting the entire Power Distribution Components value stream.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (electrical engineering, mechanical technology or similar), Master’s degree preferred

  • Substantial working experience in Supply chain and/or Operations

  • Knowledge of business processes - Lean manufacturing and Just in Time principles

  • Strong project management experience

  • Cost optimization orientation

  • Business Administration skills

  • Affinity to and interest in new technologies

  • Strong communication skills

  • Fluent in English and German languages

  • Teamwork oriented

  • Structured approach to complex task areas

  • High levels of engagement and resilience

  • Ability to convince others and communicate clearly on all levels within the organization

We offer a performance-oriented and attractive salary depending on training, qualifications and professional experience, from approx. EUR 90.000,00 gross p. a. + bonus + company car.

Depending on qualifications and experience, over-payment is possible.
