Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems offers a unique career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst-Computer Operations Support Analyst (COSA) (24-091). Join our team of diverse individuals and be part of a mission-critical role located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

As a Computer Operations Analyst, you will be part of a team that reports to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO). Your main responsibilities will include daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the C2BMC systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment. You will also provide first-level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC hardware, software, and networks.

Essential Functions:

  • Document and report all events/issues to the CWO and receive tasking and direction from the CCC for all operations, tests & real-world events.

  • Assist in all hardware/software installations directed by the local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSO.

  • Operates and sustains the C2BMC mission systems and/or training systems environment for operational and training missions supported by C2BMC's presence in the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC).

  • Training systems support includes operating the Distributed Training System (DTS) Control Center (DCC) to train, qualify, certify, and maintain Warfighter proficiency at operating locations.

  • Experience operating and maintaining large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.

  • Experience in system and/or network administration that includes the following (UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper).

  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components.

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.

  • An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

  • 2 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 6 years experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)

  • Requires rotating 24x7 shift work. The candidate will be assigned to a shift, and mission requirements will determine the assignment (Ops or Training). Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.

  • Experience and knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense Systems.

Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
