Summary Announcement Amended 4/12/2024 to extend closing date About the position: This position will be assigned to the Scott AFB Outdoor Recreation. This is a Flexible position 0 - 40 hours per week Responsibilities Prepares recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and payment for programs; notifies participants of scheduled changes. Checks equipment before rental and upon return for discrepancies, i.e., torn or frayed material, defective parts, etc., makes necessary adjustments for replacing minor parts when necessary and reports all major repairs needed to supervisor/maintenance team. Accomplishes completed walk around checklists for all rental items such as boats, campers, etc., before and after rental. Maintains the facility in a neat and orderly manner, keeping display items clean and dusted. Assists with group activities/trips, which require more than one staff member to monitor; cleans facilities, POV resale lot, FAMCAMP, RV storage lot, Picnic Pavilions, and Archery Range. Operates cash register, maintains a change fund, completed required cashier reports/deposits, and rings fees/makes reservations. Working knowledge of computer programs, i.e., Microsoft Office, and typing skills are desirable. Must possess skill in dealing with public. Education This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
