HP Inc. Beta Program Manager in Scotts Valley, California

HP Inc. is a global technology leader pioneering innovative solutions that revolutionize the way people work and live. As a Beta Program Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the hybrid system new products' beta programs, playing a pivotal role in testing new products, features, or solutions before their official release. This individual will work closely with product teams, development teams, marketing, and external testers to ensure that beta programs are executed effectively, feedback is captured, and any product issues are addressed prior to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

Beta Program Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning, execution, and management of beta programs for new products or features.

  • Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Support) to define beta program scope, objectives, and timelines.

  • Coordinate the creation of clear and concise beta program documentation, including instructions, guidelines, and feedback forms.

Beta Participant Management

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a diverse group of beta testers (internal and external).

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with beta participants to ensure clear communication and a positive testing experience.

  • Manage Beta device logistics.

Feedback Collection & Analysis

  • Design and implement methods for collecting feedback from beta participants, including surveys, interviews, and usage data.

  • Analyze feedback and collaborate with product and engineering teams to prioritize product improvements and bug fixes.

  • Provide regular reports and actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring they understand the impact of feedback on product development.

Quality Improvement

  • Identify and track issues or bugs reported during beta testing, working with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.

  • Ensure that beta testers are informed of updates, fixes, or new releases during the program.

Program Improvement & Reporting

  • Continuously evaluate and refine beta processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness for future programs.

  • Maintain metrics to track the success of each beta program, including user engagement, product issues, and feature adoption.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field (preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in managing beta programs, product management, customer experience, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with Agile or other product development methodologies is a plus.

  • Strong experience in cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Customer Support.

  • Experience in managing relationships with external customers or users.

  • Understanding of video conferencing solution, phone, or headsets products is preferred

Skills :

  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize feedback and data into actionable insights.

The base pay range for this role is $82,800 to $125,050 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
