SUMMARY
The Principal Electrical Design Engineer plays a crucial role in guiding
the analysis and design of every aspect of electrical connections. They
ensure the signal path is clear and supports functionality throughout
manufacturing. Their job is crucial to the business\'s success, ensuring
that designs are functional before and during manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Use electromagnetic simulation software to model new concepts, design
new connectors cable assemblies, and evaluate connectors from DC to
110GHz+.
* Implore expertise in all things related to signal integrity design,
optimization, validation, and qualification of RF, microwave, and
digital interconnects.
* Review drawings to ensure clarity, completeness, form, fit, function,
and conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications; identify
errors, omissions, and other deficiencies; direct revisions and
improvements to engineers or designers.
* When necessary, lead root cause analyses of Signal Integrity
performance misses and assist in troubleshooting measurements.
* Mentor and educate team members on industry trends, SI theory, and
best practices across the design process.
* Outline and implement internal processes to better serve internal and
external priorities, focusing on continuously improving workflows and
communication platforms for customer satisfaction.
* Analyze and evaluate parametric models for best impedance, altering
and updating geometries and dK values to provide the best output.
* Work with existing customer PCB stack-ups to optimize for best
performance during CIT product implementation.
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers in troubleshooting exercises.
*Other duties as required in support of the department and the
company*
