Apply TODAY for immediate consideration! _ Primary Role_ The Coordinator, Fleet Capital Program is responsible for executing American Water’s fleet capital investment plan. This role is responsible for ensuring fleet purchasing is done in compliance with American Water’s spend management policies. This position will work with suppliers to track vehicle purchases from order through delivery, vehicle order placement, validating replacement plans, and acting as an internal point of contact for fleet purchasing related matters in support of core water and wastewater operations. _ Key Accountabilities_ * Execute Fleet capital investment strategy in compliance with American Water’s spend management policies. * Maintain financial records for fleet orders, delivered units & fleet asset retirements within AW’s enterprise systems. * Promote standardization of American Water’s fleet asset specifications & assists in maintaining a catalog of fleet specifications. * Monitor supplier performance and report on material deficiencies in lead times, pricing, and other contractual obligations. * Work with suppliers to track order delivery status and provide reporting to internal and external stakeholders. * Assist with forecasting vehicle replacement needs & developing a multi-year capital demand forecast. * Report on fleet replacement plan compliance (acquisitions vs. dispositions, actual vs. budget). _ Knowledge/Skills_ * Understands core concepts of data management conventions and reporting. * Fundamental knowledge of fleet management principles and best practices. * Basic understanding of regulated utility accounting preferred. * Ability to work in a collaborative team environment within Supply Chain and stakeholders. * Knowledge of fleet management programs, policies, and processes. * Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Products. * Knowledge and ability to utilize procurement tools effectively. * SAP and Coupa procurement platforms. * Microsoft Office suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, OneNote. * Ability to work on multiple assignments effectively. * Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve routine and non-routine issues, developing possible solutions to problems and challenges. * Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, persuasion, team building, cooperation, leadership, ability to motivate others. * Effective verbal and written communications skills (e.g., report writing, listening, and presentation). _ Experience/Education_ * Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Finance, Logistics, or a related field. * Relevant work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree may be considered. * With a bachelor’s degree 4+ years of experience, without a bachelor’s degree 8+ years of experience in fleet sourcing, purchasing, or asset management. * Utility procurement experience a plus. * Experience working in matrixed organizations. _ Travel Requirements_ * Up to 25% local/regional, as required. _ Certifications & Licenses_ * Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass motor vehicle background check. _ Work Environment_ * Standard indoor office environment. * Hybrid schedule. 3:2 - 3 days in the office, 2-days working remotely. _ Competencies_ Champions safety Collaborates Cultivates innovation Customer obsessed Drives Results Nimble learning * Join American Water...We Keep Life Flowing™ * American Water is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and prohibits employment discrimination for employees and applicants based on his or her age, race, color, pregnancy, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, marital status, citizenship, or because they are an individual with a disability, protected veteran or other status protected by federal, state, and local laws.
