Job Title: Accountant III
Job Description
This role supports credit card programs and global installment lending for the Payments Accounting Team under the Worldwide Store Accounting organization. The position involves determining and executing accounting for contractual agreements with major banks, processors, and other lenders.
Services to be performed:
Executing the month-end financial close process
Developing relationships with finance and business partners
Beginning /maintaining documentation for the end-to-end internal control environment
Collaborating closely with the Financial Business Integration team (FBI) to support new business launches and develop accounting requirements
Assisting with audit requests for external audits and quarterly reviews
Completing ad hoc projects related to close efficiency automation and supporting completion of team goals
Escalating risks and issues to leadership as necessary.
Hard Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
Ability to perform month-end close and balance sheet account reconciliations
CPA or equivalent (preferred)
Experience working with a fast-paced high-tech start-up or similar company (preferred)
Aptitude for information technology
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Soft Skills
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Follow through and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Job Type
This is a contract position with a duration of 35 Weekly.
Work Environment
Starting out 3 days onsite until 2025, then aligning to the new RTO: 5 days onsite.
