Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight as part of the Fluids and Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Use established professional expertise to understand and apply systems engineering fundamentals across the development cycle of systems including concept development, requirements, design, analysis, validation, integrations, safety, configuration management, verification, and test
Integrate between fluids and propulsion subsystem and overall system level vehicle design, analysis, software, and operations
Understand and manage key Technical Performance Metrics for the system
Support the development and execution of component and subsystem analysis and tests
Coordinate plans for subsystem level verification test and analysis
Spearhead the organization and aid in preparation efforts for reviews
Ensure timely updates and communication of system level architecture diagrams, schematics
Creatively guide the team to balance the objectives of a high velocity development program while meeting the intent of standard system engineering processes
Tackle the diverse range fluids propulsion design engineer tasks like leading trade studies, component design/integration, 1st order analysis, test support and supplier interface as the opportunities arise
Mentor and educate junior Blue Origin employees on systems engineering processes and methods.
