Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicles to a high standard, ensuring a flawless and durable finish. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a passion for delivering top-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Preparation: Clean, sand, and prepare vehicles for painting, including removal of rust, dents, and imperfections.
  • Mixing Paints: Accurately mix paints and coatings according to color specifications, ensuring proper consistency and coverage.
  • Painting: Apply paint, primers, and other coatings to vehicles using spray guns and other equipment. Ensure smooth, even coats and flawless finish.
  • Detailing: Inspect and assess work for imperfections and correct any defects by sanding, buffing, or polishing.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Quality Control: Review completed work to ensure it meets company standards and customer expectations, making adjustments when necessary.
  • Customer Communication: Work with the team to understand customer needs, providing updates on job progress and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working order.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an automotive painter or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive paints, primers, and coatings.
  • Familiarity with painting tools and equipment, including spray guns, compressors, and sanders.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of craftsmanship.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in automotive painting is a plus.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job (standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, etc.).
