Kuehne+Nagel Logistics Operations Specialist in Seattle, Washington

Your Role

As the Operations Specialist for our Integrated Logistics team in Seattle, WA you will collaborate with our teams in Columbia and Poland to provide first class services to our customer. The scope of your services include the daily execution of Order Fulfilment, Transport Management, Freight Settlement, Request and Deviation Management, Visibility and Monitoring, amongst others. You will report to our Integration Logistics Operations Supervisor.

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transport services for customer orders, including exceptional and special transport requests, using our transport management systems

  • You will select transport modes, logistics service providers within the agreed selection parameters, to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery service in full

  • Handle manual order entries

  • Complete administrative tasks including cost allocations and effort reporting, and prepare standard reports like document monitoring and forecasting

  • Execute event monitoring services to guarantee agreed delivery service, checking and opening deviation reports based on event monitoring

  • Issue, receive, and respond to deviations reported and propose corrective actions

  • Recognize and escalate operational and systems issues impacting the service in time to your management

Your Skills and Experiences

  • 3+ years of working experience in the logistics and/or customer service sector

  • Knowledge & understanding of Road, Sea, Aerospace, or Air Transport

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service

  • Ability to understand and execute new processes and systems

  • Interest to work with transport management systems

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Capable of handling time-critical tasks and adhering to schedules and deadlines, especially customer-related

  • Understanding and respect for confidentiality and compliance regulations

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
