  • You will be working on the Core Platform and Infrastructure team, building the foundation that all other engineering teams rely on.

  • Succeeding on this team will involve being effective in multiple domains each with their own dedicated teams, collaborating effectively with them to understand their needs and communicate CP&I capabilities and constraints.

  • You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy, identifying the most important problems across the team and driving the execution of their solutions. You will represent the CP&I team in discussions and designs with engineering leadership.

Things You’ll Do

  • Develop scalable, fast, robust, and simple cloud-based solutions to solve complex business problems related to core platform and infrastructure.

  • Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance of our infrastructure.

  • Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from other engineers and business partners

  • Attend daily stand-up meetings, collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers - our internal developers.

  • Build and maintain common infrastructure components for a large engineering organization.

  • Deliver features and improvements that directly impact the productivity and efficiency of internal developers.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • 12+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong level of curiosity and interest to learn.

  • Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background.

  • Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.

  • Experience with Micro services Architecture and distributed systems.

  • Experience with professional software engineering practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews).

  • Extensive AWS Administration experience, including but not limited to: EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, etc.

  • Experience working on common infrastructure for a large engineering organization.

  • Experience delivering features for internal developers.

What You Should Know About This Team

The Core Platform and Infrastructure team is responsible for a diverse set of areas for the engineering organization. These include Networking, Cloud Architecture, Compute platforms (from VMs to container orchestration through server less workloads), Observability (o11y), Developer Experience, and more. You are unlikely to find another team with exposure to so many technical areas. You will contribute to roadmap planning across all these areas and drive cross team initiatives. You will lay the groundwork and platform for the direction of the engineering platform for years to come.

All our teams operate within a DevOps culture. Some things you will take part in:

  • You will ensure our platform exceeds goals for availability, capacity, efficiency, scalability, and performance

  • You will dedicatedly monitor end-to-end system performance to identify bottlenecks, potential failures and deliver service capacity planning and demand forecasting.

  • You will communicate w/ engineers & partners and describe problems succinctly to enable issue management

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
